Choose a resort in Watamu or Malindi, enjoy five nights by the sea, and decide how much of your holiday to spend unwinding or exploring.
Watamu is loved for its long sandy shore, coral reefs, marine activities and easy-going beach atmosphere. Malindi offers a different coastal personality, with historic landmarks, colourful town life and resort hideaways. Your holiday is based at the resort you select; it does not automatically include overnight stays in both towns.
Festive travel window: 21 December 2026 to 3 January 2027. The package lasts six days and five nights. Your precise departure date, flight routing, room selection and rates are subject to confirmation. To finish by 3 January 2027, the final possible six-day start within this window is 29 December 2026.
Flight and transport arrangement: return flights from Nairobi to the coast, subject to confirmed airline schedules and available seats, plus private airport-to-resort return transfers. Excursions and transfers to optional attractions are quoted separately unless Alipsa Ventures specifically confirms them in your final itinerary.

Your itinerary
Day 1Day 1: Flight from Nairobi and coastal arrival
Report for your confirmed departure flight from Nairobi. On arrival at the designated coastal airport, meet your private transfer driver for the journey to your Watamu or Malindi resort. Settle into the room category agreed in your booking and take time to explore the beach or hotel grounds. Your evening meal follows the selected resort meal plan. Overnight at the chosen resort.
Day 2Day 2: Beach relaxation and festive resort atmosphere
Begin the morning with breakfast at the hotel. Spend the day enjoying the pool, beachfront or other complimentary facilities included by your resort. This is a flexible leisure day, ideal for families who prefer a gentle start or couples looking for uninterrupted time by the Indian Ocean. Lunch, dinner and refreshments depend on your chosen meal plan. Overnight at the resort.
Day 3Day 3: Optional Watamu marine adventure
Enjoy breakfast and choose between a relaxed beach day and a separately arranged marine experience in the Watamu area. Depending on local conditions, operator availability and the applicable park rules, activities may include snorkelling or a guided boat excursion. Marine park admission, equipment and activity charges are not included unless quoted. Guests based in Malindi will require an agreed excursion transfer. Return to your hotel for the evening.
Day 4Day 4: Optional coastal heritage and Mida Creek
After breakfast, discover more of the coast if you wish. A personalised optional outing could focus on the archaeological heritage of Gede Ruins or the mangrove scenery around Mida Creek. The exact order, driving time and suitability will depend on the resort location and the activities selected. Admission charges, guides, boats and excursion transfers are additional unless confirmed otherwise. Alternatively, remain at the hotel for an unhurried afternoon.
Day 5Day 5: Malindi culture or your own festive celebration
Keep the final full day open for the experiences that matter most to you. Guests interested in Malindi may request a heritage sightseeing excursion or explore approved dining and shopping opportunities. Others may prefer more time at the beach or hotel pool. If your dates coincide with Christmas or New Year festivities, ask your resort about any special gala arrangements and supplements in advance. Overnight at the resort.
Day 6Day 6: Check-out, private transfer and return flight
Have breakfast and check out according to the hotel's policy. Your driver will transfer you privately to the airport in time for the return flight to Nairobi. Meals or late check-out outside the booked hotel plan are not automatically included. Your confirmed flight details and airport-transfer pick-up time will be shared before departure.

Does this package include both Watamu and Malindi hotels?
No. You choose one accommodation base in Watamu or Malindi. A visit to the other town can be discussed and quoted as an optional activity.
Which departure airport and airline are included?

Can families with children book?
